Re-Introducing The Philosophy of Integration
If you’re new here, welcome! I’m Della (aka Laura) and I wrote a framework called The Philosophy of Integration. The link will take you to a page within the framework that explains how to get started understanding it.
The post I had originally pinned at the top of my Substack page was doing a great job of explaining some of the architecture of the framework, but it wasn’t a great map to help you navigate and find your way around.
The framework is not for self-help. It doesn’t prescribe a fix to a problem. It doesn’t tell anybody what to do or not do. It offers no judgment. It is functionally neutral and amoral in the sense that it does not decide what is right or wrong.
The framework is based on chains of cause and effect. It describes how those chains work independently and with each other. It describes how experience happens underneath the story and interpretation people offer. It describes:
why people do what they do without needing psychology.
how conflict forms without needing blame.
how trauma fits inside ordinary human development.
why non-interference often works better than control.
how awareness changes participation without changing the past.
Most of my writing here on Substack now uses this lens to look at everyday situations like parenting, conflict, trauma, relationships, and decision-making.
If you’ve ever felt like the usual explanations for human behaviour don’t quite fit or make sense, you might enjoy this corner of the internet.
Welcome to The Philosophy of Integration.
Love to all.
Della
